Well, I got pretty good response from those people that I sent the link to. Thanks to those of you who offered feedback.

Erin and I sat down and finished up the second of three wedding picture web pages last night, so in addition to Jason and Mandy’s wedding pictures we now have Ryan and Laurie’s wedding pictures posted. Pretty non-robust web pages, but they get the job done. We’re planning on filling up the microdrive with pictures before we go to Edmonton, so that we can get prints at London Drugs. If anyone wants us to get some prints for them, now would be a good time to mention it…

Hey, did you notice the new title graphic? I spent hours (well, minutes anyways) coming up with it. This page is looking more like a real web page on a daily basis. Next step is to come up with a sidebar with links in it. Dunno how quickly that’ll get done though.

A while back, I spotted “Stargate SG-1″ Season 1 Volume 2 at a Walmart in town. Erin’s a big fan of the show, so I pointed it out to her, and we bought it. One thing led to another, and we ended up looking for the boxed set of season one, and buying it at Futureshop (I know - I have a thing against Futureshop, but that’s for another time) Anyways, we finally finished watching the first season this past weekend. It’s kinda sad, because the final episode is the traditional season ending cliff-hanger, and there’s no word of Season 2 being released on DVD any time soon. I admit it, I got hooked on the show too. Quality stuff, and it’s even better when you’re not dealing with commercials, or picture quality on the channel that you’re watching it on. I think there’s a solid future for this type of product - really, I think it might end up being the future of TV… Offer a couple of seasons for “free” on a network, supported by ad revenue, then sell the remaining seasons on DVD. DVD’s are pretty cheap to produce in mass volumes, after the mastering cost is done, the incremental costs are pretty low. I for one, don’t mind paying for good entertainment, and a decent TV show boxed set provides lots of that. I’d bet that the Sopranos DVD’s sold pretty well, and watch out when the Simpsons DVD sets start getting released.

The moral of that story is that if you haven’t seen Stargate SG-1, check it out.
