I just went back and read the last entry - I noticed that I promised that the changes would make a couple of new features available, then started listing them and crapped out at one. Well, the second one is already there - the comment count is displayed automatically for everyone now, no need to be using a DOM compliant browser or anything like that.
Let me know if anything screwy happens - other than the broken archives, which I’m going to get put back up any day now :)

Man, how about those Habs! Do they ever suck!
Man, how about that Daveman! Does he ever suck!
I guess if I’m gonna get into posting here, I might as well be a troll (EG)

The comment system was more slashdot’esque instead of the popup..
Oh well, I’m anal in my ways I s’pose.. I’d also prefer to enter stories online rather than locally then publish.
I’m nothing without the internet..

I’ve gotta get Fahim to implement the “Single Post Archive” style, then the comments can go to the end of the story, slashdotesque.
The thing with the web-based blog tools is that the ones that are out there are pretty sketchy for reliability. Apparently there is an online one that you install on your own server (Greymatter) but I like Blog enough to not bother with the supposedly kludgy interface.
There’s always Slashcode and PHPNuke and all those other ones that are a little bit of overkill for a site like this…
Val Kilmer doesn’t suck by the way - he’s done some really good movies.

PHPSlash might be nice. Seems to be lighter weight, than say Slashcode or Zope+Squishdot.
http://www.deadly.org/ runs PHPSlash, and I imagine a lot of other sites do to.
The appeal to me is I don’t need a tool to update it.. If I were to go travelling, all I’d need would be a web terminal somewhere.
