I found a link to a “Mensa Workout” on Blahblog. I’m a bit of an IQ test junkie, so I took it. I scored 26 out of 30 on it, and should have had two more. The other two are just not the kind of problem that I’m good at - I can’t unscramble words to save my life. Other than that, I didn’t have any troubles at all with the test (though I screwed up a couple of simple ones just because I rushed through it in 15 minutes - I suppose I could have spent some time unscrambling the words, and had a shot at it, but I’ve gotta go get lunch yet.)
This is one of the better IQ tests that I’ve seen online, as it tests thinking ability more than others that I’ve taken - most of them test too much on knowledge, and not much on thinking ability.
Tonight is the premiere of “Andy Richter Controls the Universe.” I’m looking forward to it, because Andy is one of the funniest people I’ve ever seen, and since he left Late Night with Conan O’Brien, the show hasn’t been the same. Plus, I have an autographed photo somewhere around the house (unless I threw it out.)

Hey greg, I know how you like recursion and all that so I am sending you my assignment on it. It was actually pretty fun to do.. I don’t have it totally working right now, but in about five minutes I will.

Pretty basic assignment - I think I had to do the same one in CMPT 115 (or 116 or whatever it was)
I think most people had troubles with it in my class though. Understanding trees helps out immensely.

I remember helping someone with that one when I was tutoring for 115. That was a pretty kewl recursion. The guy who I was helping had it mostly finished, and I put the final touch on it. I’m pretty sure he even figured out how to program by the end of the first year (unlike certain OTHER people I’ve tutored (<couch>WOODY</cough>)

Bah I just took that mensa test, I guess I have taken too many of them because I got 28. I had seen most of the questions before. Banalities got me and parachute. The one I didn’t like was the list of words and you added post to them to make new words. I had seen it before, but there is no such thing as a postbag!

Hey Greg, what did you think of Richter’s show? I thought it showed promise (pilots usually spend the whole time introducing the characters) though I can’t see how it’ll last too long. Plus it’s up against Julia Louis’ show, which is actually pretty good too.

I really enjoyed it.
Erin said she thought it was stupid.
Apparently it got pretty good ratings for the pilot - 98% of the lead in audience (That 70’s Show) stuck around to watch it, which is unheard of.
But, the critics liked it, so I doubt it’ll last :)
Mind you, it’s on Fox, so maybe they’ll keep it around for a season or two before cancelling it.
