Late December back in ‘63

The game was pretty exciting last night - lots of back and forth, with Montreal weathering the second period storm, and coming back from two goals down in the third to win the game.

Plus, I did a complete re-install of my OpenBSD server at home, which worked so well that I thought I’d switch the site over to it. So, if you’re reading this, it means that you’re seeing the new(old/my) server. If you’re not, you’ll just have to wait a bit for the DNS changes to take effect :P

I’m continually impressed with the quality of the OpenBSD installation. Yes, it’s all text based, but it’s pretty simple to have a powerful system set up in no time flat. I mean, I formatted my drive last night, and had my web server running, with all the stuff imported etc. in less than 4 hours, which included watching a hockey game - ie. I’d set the install doing something, then walk away and watch hockey, then pause the game for 30 seconds, come back and set it doing something else, lather, rinse, repeat.

There are still a couple of things that I want to configure on it, but for the most part it’s no big deal, and shouldn’t even require a reboot.
