It is very very hot out there. Apparently we’re going to set some temperature records today. Should be good for Ultimate tonight. It wasn’t nearly as hot on Tuesday, and it was too hot to be comfortable. Plus, we were at a field with shade. Tonight we’re at the field right by my place, but there’s really not much shade around. I don’t deal well with heat to begin with, so I guess I’d better bring plenty of water.

I’m going to post another picture today too. I haven’t looked at the logs to see what kind of response the pictures are getting, but I do plan on only posting one or two a week after this.

I see that OpenBSD announced it’s first remote hole (in the default install) in around six years. I’ve heard comments ranging from “That’s all it takes” to “Hah. Told you so” but I’d personally rather have that kind of record than what other OS’s have. There’s a reason that Microsoft and Red Hat don’t have “X remote holes in Y years” taglines on their front page, and that’s mostly because it would be scary to see. I guess I have to get around to upgrading my SSH now. Not a huge thing since it’s behind the firewall anyway, but I figure I should plug the hole anyway (since I’m sure my firewall isn’t the most secure box around either.)
