Why did I decide to become a computer programmer?

Well, it’s pretty simple. It’s something I’m good at, and I enjoy it. It doesn’t hurt that when the terminator style robots take over the world (which should be happening any minute now ;) I will have the skills to combat them, or conversely to serve them…

I don’t know where that came from.

I was reading an article at AsiaBizTechabout display technology that I found via Ars Technica, and was kind of interested to see what’s coming in the next few years. Make note that plasma displays are a relative newcomer to the display technology marketplace, and after only six years in production they’re getting pretty darned good. I expect that they’ll be affordable within two years, and will replace tube TVs within the next five to ten. The problem is that as long as this is out of my price range by as much as it is, it doesn’t really matter. Maybe I should set up a begging website to ask people to donate to the cause. Nah.
