See, after my mocking the other day, the PDA people sent me an email (well, not really, but play along at home.) Anyway, end result is that I’m thinking that a low-end PDA to be used as an e-book reader would be really cool. That whole Project Gutenberg is quite cool and all, but carrying a computer around to read the books doesn’t make a lot of sense. Not very cozy for riding the bus, and way too awkward to read in bed.
I’m currently looking at the Casio Pocket Viewer, which seems to be pretty cool. I don’t know how it looks in person though, so I’m reserving judgement. Will I use it as a PDA? No. What do I need that for. It’ll be used almost exclusively for reading ebooks, assuming that I get one.
My guess is that if we get one, Erin and I will fight over it, and we’ll have to get a second one, so we can each have one.
This weekend was a super busy one. Friday after work I helped Al and Becca move into their new place. It looks quite nice, and I’m sure we’ll be visiting there often, once they have roads that you can drive on to get there. Right now the “street” in front of their place consists of a huge pit that is full of water. If it wasn’t full of water, I’d have sworn that Al had a sarlaac installed out front.
Then, Saturday and Sunday, Erin and I did prep work in the livingroom, and painted. I’m going to put another coat on tonight, but it’s looking quite sharp. I think we overbought the paint, but better than than under.
Ultimate playoffs start on Tuesday. I don’t know what that means for our team - I don’t know if it’s single elimination, or what. If so, that means that Tuesday is likely our last game ;)
