My Great-Grandma passed away. I don’t know when the funeral is or anything like that, but depending on when the funeral is, I might not post Monday or Tuesday. I realize that I was lucky to have a Great-Grandma, and I am lucky to have known her. Her health wasn’t very good of late, though the last time I saw her, she was busy crocheting baby blankets for those great-grandkids who are/were expecting. We didn’t tell her about Erin being pregnant, since she seemed pretty stressed out over the half dozen baby blankets that she was already making, and whether or not she’d get them done. She was one sharp lady. Rest in peace.
About an hour into the day today, someone came here to ask me why something on the intranet wasn’t working. It turns out that the server was upgraded to Win2K last night without mentioning it to me. The stuff that was broken was pretty minor, and didn’t take long to fix, once I had access to the new machine, but still…Some people knew about it, some people didn’t (including my boss, who’s got his fingers in almost every IT pie here.) The really amusing thing is that the person who is in charge of the intranet, and who was responsible for the upgrade, is on vacation today, so I can’t even go bug her for not telling me about the upgrade. I guess I should be happy, since she doesn’t bring me many change requests anymore. I don’t think anyone can update the site right now, but that’s ok, since nobody else has seemed to notice. I suspect that’ll get ironed out on Monday.

Echo that….I didn’t really know either grandfather, and lost my other grandma about 13 years ago.
Take care all of you.

HI Greg,
So sorry to hear about your Great-Grandma and yet like you said …how very lucky you were to have had her to get to know. Erin had three “greats” for quite a long while. You are both blessed, in so many ways, to have the extended families that you do. My sympathies to your mom and dad and a big hug to you and Erin…
Love Mom
