Apparently there is software out there that allows you to snag the shows off of a 5100 PVR, onto your computer hard drive. It requires opening the box (thus, voiding the warranty) so it’s not something I plan on trying anytime soon, but still, an interesting development. I wonder how long it will be until the HD is replacable with a larger unit <runs off and checks>

<runs back> Nope - still not possible to do it. Oh well. It’s not really a big deal, since if you could record that much stuff, you’d then have to find time to watch it.

Halloween was pretty quiet at our house again. When the first kids showed up, it took a second to register why someone would be ringing the doorbell. Incidentally they were also the last kids to show up. Yup. Two whole kids came to our door. Well, I guess technically the church youth group collecting food for the food bank came by too. Still, a pretty quiet halloween.
