Erin’s Grandparents are coming into town this weekend for a funeral, so we should get in a good visit with them. A long weekend is always a welcome break from getting up for work in the morning. If someone had told me back in highschool that I’d have my alarm set for 6:30AM, I’d have called them crazy, but that’s the case now. Of course I don’t usually get up until 7:00. I’d like to get up about five minutes earlier, but it’s going to require some serious re-training.
I have my alarm set to CBC Radio 2 (FM), which is pretty much classical music all the time. Anyway, unlike with other radio stations, when it goes off, it’s music most of the time, and obviously never commercials (I can’t stand radio commercials.) Anyway, so, the way it works is that I hear classical music, and I hit the snooze bar. At 7:00, when the snooze alarm goes off, it’s always right in the middle of the sports news, which lets me know that I absolutely have to get up. Now, if only I could get CBC to move their news up about ten minutes - ok, not likely to happen. Maybe I have to switch back to commercial radio, so that I’m motivated to get out of bed so I don’t have to hear more commercials. Nah. Too painful.
Simpson’s quote of the day:Bart: “Look behind you Radioactive Man!”
Marge: “Why are you talking like that?”
Homer: “And who are you talking to? Marge, do you have other men in this house? Radioactive men?”
