Erin knows this. Most of the time, I really dislike shopping. I don’t mind going every now and then, by myself, but I usually don’t like shopping with someone else, for whatever reason. This being the start of “shopping frenzy” season, where people will bite other people in order to secure a cabbage patch kid, or tickle me elmo, or furby or whatever, I really don’t much care for the crowds.
So, why did I go shopping today at lunch? I don’t know. It wasn’t too bad though, since I was only there for a brief time, looking for something specific, in two or three stores. I’m 90% sure that the one store I was at had it in stock, but they had half the store filled with cardboard boxes that hadn’t been opened yet, so they didn’t know themselves. I didn’t really press the issue, since I know that it gets pretty busy in there around this time of year. I’ll probably wind up going back tomorrow or Friday, just to see if I can’t get what I’m looking for, and solve most of my Christmas Shopping woes all at once.
Did I mention that I don’t like shopping?
Simpson’s quote of the day:Bear: “I’m Sir Loves-A-Lot! The bear who loves to love.”
Homer: “They didn’t have Lord Huggington?”
Marge: “It’s the same basic bear, Homey.”
Homer: [dejected] “I guess.”
