Weekend update

Sorry about the lack of post yesterday, I went out for lunch for someone’s 50th birthday.

The weekend was pretty good, though quite stressful for Erin. With all the company, she was quite happy to have the house to herself a bit after everybody left. Friday night I went to a friend’s place an played History of the World, which was ok, but a little too long, and a little too luck based (from dealing out cards, to rolling dice, to dealing out still more cards) Still, not a bad game if it were about half as long to play. That game ended at 1:30, and four of the six of us decided to play a game of Puerto Rico. Well, maybe it wasn’t my brightest idea to suggest it at 1:30 in the morning, since I didn’t get home until 4:00, and slept most of Saturday as a result.

Saturday night, Erin’s uncles helped me move the desk downstairs. After getting it through one door, we decided it would be easier to take it apart and put it back together than to get it downstairs (and through four more doors.) We managed to get it put back together, and didn’t have any parts left over (yay!) though more than one screw head was rounded out before we were done…It would have been much easier if we’d had the right size screwdriver bit I guess…

Sunday, everyone went home, and Jason and Amy (Don’t forget Mya) came over with a bunch of maternity/baby gear. It was good to see them, since it’s been a while, and Mya is growing at an astounding rate. Then Sunday night, I wound up going out to Brooklyn’s to watch the second and third period of the Junior Hockey finals. Kind of a sad way to end the tournament, but the Russians outclasses the Canadian team at every turn, and really deserved to win gold.

Yesterday, I got a raise, which is always nice, so I took Erin out for supper to David’s Restaurant. Erin was quite hungry, so we ordered a half order of potato skins - far more potato than either of us expected. Heck, it was a lot of food for a full order…Anyway, that gets you up to date on what’s been happening with Erin and I lately.
