The Canucks looked pretty bad in the second period last night - I think the 3-1 goal was the straw that broke the camel’s back - there could definitely have been a penalty called on the Wild for hauling Morrison down, and it resulted in a goal off the rush. Mind you, had the Canucks covered their guys properly on the rush, it wouldn’t likely have wound up as a goal, but then if they’d played some defensive hockey in the second, they might not have lost 7-2 :-)
I’ll update the playoff pool when I’m done with this post, so that people can see where they stand.

The only thing more embarrassing than being beaten in the standings by Shawn is being beaten by Jason!! At least I’m in good company, right Greg?

just so I don’t get disqualified for not making my pick next round on account of me being out of town, I’ll take Ottawa in the east and vancouver if they make it Anahiem is minnesota wins this series.

I’m going to make my picks early as well because I’m going to be out of town with Dave. I’ll pick Ottawa and Vancouver (if they win) and Anaheim (if Minnesota wins). I guess that means I’m cheering for the same teams as Dave.
