This event will be awesome. I will be attending.

I finished “Escape From Monkey Island” on the weekend. I’d never played any Monkey Island games before, mainly because I was too busy with my C64 to play many PC games. I had heard about them, and based on the fact that I enjoyed Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders as well as Maniac Mansion, I really should have checked them out sooner. I picked Escape from Monkey Island up at ToysRUs for $15 back when they were selling all their $30 games for half price. Definitely worth the money :-)

Anyway, I see that they’re offering the first three Monkey Island games on CD for $20 US, which seems like a good deal to me. I’m thinking that if I get a long VGA cable, I can play them on the projector without too much trouble.

Oh, and apparently the third season of Stargate SG-1 is coming out on DVD later this month… I’m kind of glad that Amazon.ca emailed me about it, because I wouldn’t have looked for it for a couple of months probably.
