What’s Green and White, and runs over Eskimos?

For some reason, I’m inordinately excited for the football game(s) this weekend. I’m expecting good football, no matter the outcome. I’d better get it too.

My grandma is/was in town this week - I think she’s going to Battleford at some point today, and will be back at some point next week. Anyway, so Erin and William went to my parents place yesterday afternoon, and made a really good minestrone for supper. I joined them after work. I took the bus home, got changed, then took the bus over there. I rode the same bus that I used to take to elementary school - it was kind of strange. On the plus side, they haven’t changed the route in the intervening 14 years, so I didn’t get lost or confused even once.

Overall, I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend, followed by work on Monday, and Remembrance Day on Tuesday. Having a day off in the middle of a week is something that I enjoy. I treat it as an extra weekend, and two short weeks.

Why is it that 16 weeks sounds shorter than 4 months and 112 days?
