Apparently there was a good football game last night, and I completely forgot about it. Apparently I’ve been a little preoccupied with something lately.
Oh, I forgot to mention, we’re buying a house. :) The negotiations have been ongoing, but barring something seriously wrong structurally with the house in question, or us being unable to find a buyer for our house, we’ve basically got a new house to move into this winter (late November possession date.) It’s pretty exciting. I won’t post any details here, other than to say that it’s right on Wildwood park, close to my parent’s place, close to shopping and busses. I think my Mom is as excited as anyone about the location (for some reason…) It’s right at the upper limit of the price range that we were looking at, but it’s a big house - two stories, with a two car garage and lots of shade trees. We were close to putting in an offer on a different house last weekend, but something made us hold off - apparently it was because something better was out there waiting for us to find it. The next step is to paint our house, and put it on the market, then we get to play the waiting game. I think it’ll be tough to wait until the end of November to move, but at least that’ll give us lots of time to get packed up and ready for a smooth transition.
Oh, and my slopitch team won another game last night, against a tough team. I managed to go 0-1 with three walks (I didn’t see a lot worth swinging at last night) and managed to make a few plays in the field. I’m getting more comfortable at first base, but I’ve still got a lot of work to do on my footwork. We lost the second game (which I sat out after the top of the first or second inning.)
Not much else new though.
