Retirement approaches for one…

I mentioned earlier that I’d transitioned the web server to the new machine. Last night I got my mail server transitioned over too. The old server isn’t actually doing anything anymore. It’s sad, I’ll miss my OpenBSD. On the other hand, it was getting dangerously out of date because I was scared of the upgrade process. My new server is dangerously up to date, and easy to keep that way. It’s one of the features that really drew me to Gentoo in the first place.

That means that I have to get down and dirty and document what I did to get the machine running. I set it up, and documented a lot of the early steps, but then kind of let the documentation fall by the wayside as my fingers started flying over the keyboard. I should still be able to piece together everything that I did though, since it’s fairly fresh in my mind.

Anyway, I think I have the mail system set up properly, and I don’t think I missed any obvious steps, but just in case I did, if you have any problems emailing anyone at nodecam.com, let me know (via email :P ) and I’ll see what I can do to fix it up.
