Tonight is the first game of the slopitch season for my team, and the weather looks like it’s going to co-operate. Good news there. I had a pretty sedentary offseason, so hopefully I’m not too sore tomorrow. Anyway, I’m looking forward to this season more than I looked forward to last season, so that must mean that I had a good time last year. The only issue is that Julia’s still in the hospital, and even once she’s home, she won’t be able to come out to games for quite some time. The fields are in the middle of the Saskatchewan prairie, so the breeze can get pretty nasty at times out there.
