The weekend brought three caught mice, a night out for me, and the Grey Cup. First up, I got the mousetraps set Saturday afternoon, then we did some quick shopping. When we came back, both traps had caught a mouse. I reset them, and when I went out Saturday night, one more unsuspecting rodent had wandered into my traps. I’m under no illusion that we got them all so quickly, but I can always hope.
Saturday night, I went to a friend’s place, where he introduced me to the first “video podcast” that I’ve ever seen (though I think Pure Pwnage should count too) - Tiki Bar TV. Interesting that both are Canadian groups. Anyway, it was a good time, it had been too long since I got out of the house.
Sunday. Bloody Sunday. What a game the CFL chose to close off the season with. The only thing that would have made it more exciting would be if Calvillo’s last play punt attempt would have worked (can you imagine? ) Jason and I Liveblogged it, which was a blast as well.

Really enjoyed the Grey Cup game as I taped it off satellite and played
it back without knowing what happened today. I wanted a younger opinion
on the half time show.

I thought it was awful, but it’s not my kind of music, so I didn’t want to comment on it.

Halftime show: I actually like a few of the Black eyed peas songs… or at least I did until I saw them at greycup. The whole show was terrible, there was no flow from song to song, or any way to tell what they were doing on stage could be considered music.
I guess the black eyed peas are just a group that is very heavily produced, and have no actual talent. I hope the Superbowl halftime committee watched that, just to make sure they don’t invite that ‘band’ to their show.
awful, terrible, made me whistful for the days of Trooper and Shania Twain.

I didn’t see the halftime show but everyone who saw it at choir thought it was disgusting. One person actually turned it off.

See, and I think you guys’ objections are completely different than mine. I don’t care about the raunchy lyrics or suggestive dancing - those are the things you would expect from the Black Eyed Peas.
My biggest complaint was that the “music” was off key and poorly performed.
Altogether a poor live performance, and by all reports the people at the game had an even worse experience because of BC place’s acoustics.
