Very Sly.
William was still a little warm last night, but he insisted that we wash the van. I trucked out the hose and the pressure washer, only to find out that the thing leaks like crazy. We took apart the handle, and I thought I’d identified the leak, but apparently not. End result is that the van is cleaner than it started, but still not exactly “sparkling” clean. Mainly owing to the fact that I was worried about being carried away by mosquitoes, so I didn’t spend as much time with the sponge as I should have.
Apparently William’s temperature is back to more normal levels today, though between the overcast sky and the general tiredness in our house, Erin and the kids slept in pretty late today. Don’t I wish.
I actually stayed up too late last night watching the hockey game. I didn’t realize how late it was until I went to bed and looked at my clock. I guess that’s the downside of a PVR. What a crazy third period though. After Edmonton’s second goal, it looked like Anaheim was going to pack up and quit – they seemed more than a little bit out of it for about 5 minutes there. Once they got over it though, they brought both the noise and the funk, but were unable to complete the comeback. Apparently the car horns in Edmonton are getting quite a workout. By the way Oilers fans, I’m taking money to convince me not to pick them as the eventual Stanley Cup champs. With my record in the playoff pool this year, my picking them would be the kiss of death. Consider this your first notice in my extortion um blackmail er insurance uh playoff success program.

Even your kiss of death pick will not stop them. They seem to be immune to bad karma right now. I mean, most of the Oilogosphere has been calling for the sweep since game one of this series, and it hasn’t stopped them from going for the sweep. Crazy stuff.
Amy threatened to divorce me if I put an oil derrick on the roof of the house. I’m wondering if that same threat applies to the garage :P

If you are picking them based upon there performance in this series, I am disappointed. Yes, they are winning the series but are being outplayed overall with the exception of goaltending. And that might not last forever, so they need to pick it up.

I’d just be picking them to jinx them… :)
