$87 Million

Things have been pretty hectic around here - there was a bit of an emergency on Tuesday, which prevented me from updating this site. I got tied up browsing the web yesterday at lunch, and didn’t have time then either. Today is a different story though.

First off, for those of you looking for updates on the interview I mentioned on Friday - the job is my supervisor’s job, and though the decision of who got the job has been made, an official announcment will not be made until next week, so I won’t mention anything more about it until that time.

Secondly, which I really should have led the post with - yesterday was Erin and my 9th wedding anniversary. Nine years ago, we were married in the sweltering heat with our friends and family there making sure we went through with it. Nine years in, and though our situation has changed quite a bit in the interim, Erin and I are still just as in love with each other as we were on that day. I’m supposed to say something here about how it’s been hard work, and we managed to tough out some rocky times, but honestly, it hasn’t been hard to stay happily married to Erin - she probably can’t say the same about me ;)

So, in celebration of the big day, Erin and I went to the Taj Mahal restaurant for supper. We haven’t been there for a very long time, but the food was just as good as always. William and Julia went with Erin’s Dad to Jim & Judy’s for supper. Afterwards, we went to the park by their house and played with the kids. William and Julia were both laughing so hard that I thought they would burst at times. It was a really nice evening overall.

The long weekend is coming up quickly, and we’ll be helping Dave and Katriona move into their new house on Saturday, but beyond that I don’t think we have any big plans. We still haven’t really unwound from the big trip that Erin and the kids went on.
