I’m still awake

The trip last week was good, but far too tiring. The last day, I got up at 5:45 New Brunswick time in order to be at the mine for 7:45 - St. John is about an hour from the mine. The plane came back at 2:00, and arrived in Saskatoon at 3:20 or so. By the time the kids were asleep, I was ready to crash. That three hour time zone difference will get you every time.

The weekend was pretty low key though - with being so tired, we didn’t do much. William and I went to the Huskies’ football game on Saturday, though we left at halftime because he was falling asleep in the stands. Pretty big crowd out there too - I heard that it was bigger than the opening day crowd by ~20% or so. The lineup to get tickets extended past the end of the team buses.

Erin posted some pictures of the kids last week, so you might want to check them out if you haven’t already.

Live from Saint John

Today was a pretty quiet day - the corporate jet left the Saskatoon airport at 8:00, and arrived four hours later in Saint John. Flying in a private jet is the way to go - tough to beat the schedule and speed - never mind the fact we didn’t have to go through security etc. etc. etc.

Tonight for supper, we went to a restaurant on the reversing falls - the tides here are so strong that they push the St. John river back up when the tides come in, so the rapids change direction with the tides.

The 3 lost hours are tough to get accustomed to, but I’m sure I’ll be used to it just in time to get back to Saskatoon.

Anyway, I have to get to bed because I have to be up early tomorrow to go to the mine. I’ll try to check in again tomorrow after work.
