Even if the bottom part fit in the top part, the top part still wouldn’t fit in the back of the van.

We spent some time looking for an entertainment armoire over the weekend, and managed to find one. Was it at The Brick? No. Uncle Ed’s? No. Furniture Outlet? No. Furniture World? No. We found it at Liquidation World. I’d never been in the store before, so it was a bit of a shock to me that they even had furniture. Even more shocking, we found pretty much exactly what we were looking for, and the price was right too.

It came in two pieces, the bottom part fit in the van just fine, but there was no way that the top was going anywhere with us. I wound up borrowing my cousin Jamie’s truck (he was in town for a visit) and picking up the top half. After Bryan helped us move it into the livingroom, we called it a night.

Sunday, we hit Rona to pick up some hardware - new knobs and latches for the armoire. After that, we wired up the TV and consoles, ran the network cable across the house and moved the furniture from the den into the livingroom. It was a lot of work, but I think when we’re finally settled in, it’ll be worth it.

The armoire is a big piece of furniture. Much bigger than it looked on the showroom floor. It’s pretty intimidating actually. It does hold all the stuff we need it to hold though, and it looks a lot neater than the mass/mess of wires we used to have dangling down behind the TV. Don’t get me wrong, the mass of wires is still dangling down, you just don’t see it anymore ;)
