Playoff predictions
East
Buffalo Sabres vs New York Islanders- Buffalo thinks they have this series in the bag, and as a result, won’t show up for the first two games. I predict the isles to take it in 6 games.
New Jersey Devils vs Tampa Bay Lightning – New Jersey should dominate this series, but they are so boring to watch, that I’m cheering for the lightning. Lightning in 7 games.
Atlanta Thrashers vs New York Rangers – It’s a shame, Atlantas first year in the playoffs and they are swept in four games by the rangers. Rangers in 4
Ottawa Senators vs Pittsburgh Penguins – hmmm, I’ve picked 3 upsets in the east already, as much as I would like to make it four, I just can’t take the Penguins. I’m sure Sid the kid will step up his game and more importantly his whining, my dream ending to this series is Ottawa scoring the winning goal with Crosby in the penalty box for diving.
West
Detroit Red Wings vs Calgary Flames – This is the year Detroit actually beats the 8th seed. Detroit in 5 games
Anaheim Ducks vs Missesota Wild – I’d really like to leave this prediction until we are 3 games into the series…. Since I can’t I’ll say Anaheim in 6 games.
Vancouver Canucks vs Dallas Stars – Vancouver has been dominant since December, they should keep their ways and win this one easily. Canucks in 4 games.
Nashville Predators vs San Jose Sharks – Nashville loses in the first round and Forsberg retires to live on a turnip farm. San Jose in 7
My picks are a little strange this year, everyone is saying there will be a lot of upsets in the west, and none in the east, but I am predicting the exact opposite. I’ll either win this pool right now, or be so far out of the running I won’t be heard of for 4 years. I can’t remember how to bold things, sorry if this was hard to read.
